When I switch to another synth, or an app that plays video like YouTube, and back to Audulus the audio stops working. Also, clocks stop responding so it’s like the audio engine crashes. Exiting and reloading the document doesn’t work but killing Audulus and restarting the app brings everything back to normal.
I’m on a 2017 iPad Pro 10.5" with iOS 12.1.1. I have version 3.5.3 of Audulus that I purchased a few days ago.
EDIT: I tested this on my iPhone 8 and the same thing happens.
If you click the wrench icon on the home screen and turn on background audio, this won’t happen, but it does indeed seem to be a bug, so thanks for reporting it!
I just checked on my iPhone 8 running iOS 12.1.2 and Audulus 3.5.3 (262) and I can confirm that it happens on mine as well. Turning on background audio (the wrench icon on the top menu) corrects the problem, but of course leaves Audulus playing as long as it is backgrounded.
Do you have background audio turned on? If not, then turn it on it should solve it. The bug discovered here is if you don’t have background audio turned on, processing will stop when you switch apps
If you’re on computer, it might be due to switching an audio interface while running Audulus.
It’s been happening on my ipad, which is basically set up as a dedicated Audulus interface, connected to the ES-8 in my rack. It may or may not (probably not) have something to do with background audio. Like I said, I have no idea. I just saw the thread and remembered I had been having that problem for a while. I’ll keep a better eye on it and try to find out what is happening. Thanks for checking in @biminiroad.
