VCO Sync Collection

VCO Sync Collection

HardSync VCO

A basic hard sync VCO in which the synced waveform is reset by the syncing oscillator. A bipolar VCA briefly inverts the signal at the sync point in order to reduce transient noise. (This reduction can be internally adjusted according to ones own tastes.)

DoubleHardSync VCO

A dual hard sync VCO in which the synced waveform is reset by the syncing oscillator. A bipolar VCA briefly inverts the signal at the sync point in order to reduce transient noise. The second hard sync VCO can run independently, parallel to the first, or can be (double)synced from the already synced first VCO. A crossfader adjusts the mix between the two.

SubSync VCO

A Subharmonic SoftSync VCO

A soft-sync VCO in which the synced waveform is reversed following trigger points derived from both the syncing and synced oscillators. This results in a form of soft sync in which the nodes of a subharmonic series (in relation to the syncing oscillator) are brought into focus without the root syncing pitch being present (as is the case with regular hard and soft forms of syncing).
Since the ‘root’ isn’t directly present in the sound a second oscillator, which can set to different octaves within the sync range, can be mixed in to fill out its place.

SoftSync VCO

A basic soft-sync VCO in which the synced waveform changes direction whenever the syncing waveform falls below zero. The synced oscillator can also be reset at the point of reversal, i.e. hard soft-synced.
