Shepard tone!?

Here’s a tricky one I have not quite done - how to create a constantly ascending / descending shepard tone generator! any ideas?

First of all welcome to the forum

I think you can achieve a shepard tone with something like this:
Shepard tone .audulus (62.1 KB)

It doesn‘t completely fool the ear but I think it goes into the right direction.
