Cloudless Widening Sky

Back at the start of 2020, I was settling into lockdown thinking it would be a couple of months and what better way to pass the time than collaborate with friends online to make some music. This is a collection of the best of those collaborations with my long-time friend Gabriel Gilder. I used a lot of Audulus at the start of the process, making FM patches, mechanical servo type percussion sounds, harmonic oscillators, and more. Those samples were put on to the octatrack and used to sketch out longform improvisations. I would dropbox those sketches over to Gabriel, who would layer on the myriad instruments he has adorning his home studio and edit them down into more listenable compositions. Please enjoy.
