I was wondering if anyone knew of any iOS apps that would allow me to use some form of programming to modify and augment my MIDI controller hardware. In particular, I’d like to do something like allow some keys on my keyboard to toggle what is being modified by a modulation wheel or knob. I know I can do this in a patch in Audulus, but I also want to have this flexibility in other apps.
Thanks for the suggestion! The interface for StreamByter seems to be very programmer-focused. Assuming I’m a competent programmer, how hard is it to use to do something like toggling what knobs control what?
To be honest, I’m not a StreamByter programmer - I just knew about the existence of the app. Reviewing the docs and app description, I believe it is written to be a midi-message manipulator, and I doubt that it can alter the controller CC & channel mappings. I could be wrong, however, and I encourage you to contact the developer (apps@audeonic.com) or check the forum (http://soapbox.audeonic.com/). I understand the developer is very open to helping users develop code for their specific application. Good luck!
