āā¦with transfigured restraint and withdrawn loudness he has designed an antipole to the omnipresent anger of our times, giving the listener the opportunity to withdraw into an imaginary aviary, at least for a short period of time.ā
āThe mix was originally made for a clinical trial for people undergoing something of a reconstructive therapy. It was designed to repeatedly and slowly transition between relaxed reflection, and stimulation of new thoughtsā¦ā
This randomly popped into my head today, so I gave it a listen, and I had forgotten how good it is. I read a while back on the Elektron official site that Trent Reznor is/was a big fan of the OctaTrack, which obviously means he has a good ear for samples.
That made this an even more interesting listen for me, having spent a great deal of this day studying the manual, scratching my head, and wondering if it takes everyone a few weeks to wrap their mind around their newly acquired OT?
It is incredible, no doubt, but this is, by far, the most complex piece of hardware I have ever worked with. Anyway, hereās the track I was thinking of:
Nine Inch Nails - Into the Void
- Aux 88-Technosis
- Microworld-Signals
- David Alvarado-Blue
- G-man- Quo Vadis (Original)
- Vegas Soul-Optic
- Nico Awtsventin- Images (Soul Mate Stripped Down Remix)
- Murat & Mario J -Awakenings
- Mateo Murphy- Unknown
- Gaetano Parisio- 004-Advanced_Techno_Research
- Mark Broom- Rave Days
- Marco Carola- Danger
- Steve Rachmad-Index
- Ignacio - Virton
- Daniel Bell- Science Fiction
- Heiko Laux-ReTelevised (Original 1998 Version)
- Heiko Laux- Hanginā
- JS- Unknown
- Duby-Cerulean
Yep! DCramer. I think we lost him to Eurorack.
Hey everyone! I just finished a track over the weekend and posted it yesterday, along with adding an official logo to my project in the profile photo section. COVID kinda stole all my inspiration for the last ~6 months or so, and that makes it all the more satisfying that I managed to get past that and complete this track, as I was feeling really discouraged for a while. Anyway, I just wanted to post my new track here to announce it. Lemme know what you think if of the track and/or the logo! Thanks!
Had a chance to sit down and listen to your track this morning. Lovely composition! I really enjoyed jamming along.
Thatās awesome! Iām glad that you liked it. I have no illusions about becoming rich and famous making music, although that would be amazing to be able to make enough money to survive just doing the thing I enjoy most! My actual goal is simple: I just want to make sounds that I enjoy composing and arranging, and when I post each finished track, I hope that others will enjoy listening to the final outcome. Thanks for checking it out @stschoen
