After All, Isn't it About the Music?

Nothing like a bit of Bollywood disco to brighten up your morning! :cowboy_hat_face:

Here’s where I’m coming from: Tomita’s Debussey record, filtered through Front 242 (I just loved that Industrial stuff back then!)

@dcLargo I actually bought Front by Front when it came out! It was when I was in 7th grade, and I thought it was the most German thing ever. I must admit I prefered the original album art, which is more German.

Just remember this was before pixel art was part of a zeitgeist.

Interesting, I guess “Maiden” and “Heaven” rhyme in Estonian. I really love the arrangements and the vocal delivery. The fact I can’t understand it makes me pay more attention to it as a timbre.

So we are not interested in the TE modular, nor are we excited to have Cuckoo try it out. No no, what we really get out of this is how to handle yourself live with a modular starting from scratch – how to transition from one cable to the next in a performative way. There are some interesting tricks here. Definitely worth checking out more of Baseck’s approaches.

  • I live in an isolated community so I am not exposed to any modular synth performance cultures.
