Audio Waveform Display
  • Not having the luxury of a separate o-scope, I've always been somewhat frustrated but the lack of a waveform display that worked at audio frequencies. It occurred to me that you might be able to do something using the sample and hold node. This gives an acceptable image from about 100 to 1000 Hz or so. There's some jitter that I suspect is in the sample rate trigger, but it's better than nothing. you need to feed it audio and the frequency in either Hz or octave formats. Note that if Hz is > 0 the o input is disabled.

  • Nice one! This is also a good way of creating LFO signals that are related to the audio waveform content.
  • Thanks. Still not a substitute for a real scope. Wish I still had my Tektronics.
  • You should look on Craigslist, I was able to find a Tektronix 453 for $40.
